Tomorrow is Palm Sunday! Join us for service at 11 AM to begin to prepare for Holy Week and Easter! We’d love to see you!!

We are in the last few days of the Lenten season. Preparations have been made for services for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter. Please note the following times and places:

Palm Sunday, March 25th – Cedar Grove – 11 AM

Maundy Thursday, March 28th – Cedar Grove – 7 PM

Good Friday, March 29th – Faith Community United Methodist Church in Bayville – 7 PM

Easter Sunday, April 1st – Sunrise Service sponsored by Faith Community – 6 AM at the Ocean Gate Pavilion

Easter Service – Faith Community – 9:30 AM

Easter Service – Cedar Grove – 11 AM

A private service has been planned for Marion’s family. A memorial service will be held in the future at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. An announcement will be posted when plans are finalized. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for Pastor Malcolm.

Our church family is saddened by the passing of one of our own. Marion McVeigh, wife of retired Pastor Malcolm McVeigh, passed earlier today at home. She was such a sweet, intelligent, vibrant lady who traveled a great deal as a missionary with her husband. She will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pastor Malcolm and his family. Arrangements will be posted when they are completed.

Marion is home and on hospice. If anyone is interested and able to sit with her and Malcolm while their family takes a short break, please contact Isabel for information. They would both love to hear songs, stories, and readings from the Bible. Thank you in advance…..

Next Sunday, February 11, our congregation will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday by hosting a Pancake Brunch for our parishioners! The celebration and food service will begin after church! Come prepared to eat and enjoy the Mardi Gras Atmosphere with the church family! For more information, please call the church office!
