The passing of Lorraine Crawford…
We received news last night of the passing of Lorraine Crawford. She was a long time, active member of Cedar Grove UMC. She moved from Toms River to Vermont a little over a year ago to live with her daughter. We don’t have details, however, we ask for prayers for her soul, and for her family. If you would like to send a note of condolence to her family, please call the church for her daughter’s address. Rest in peace, Lorraine….
World Communion Sunday
Sunday, October 7th is World Communion Sunday! This day is meant to highlight the fact that as Christians from around the world, we come together as one to celebrate the Lord’s Supper which joins us all together as believers. Pastor Rene has asked that we wear or bring something that represents our own personal ethnic backgrounds in order to show that from our ancestors, we truly are from around the world as we gather together in our little white church. A scarf, a piece of jewelry, or a significant memento are suggestions of items to bring. It will be interesting and a joy to discover our worldly roots! See you on Sunday at 11 AM!
Blessing of the Animals
The Blessing of the Animals will be held on Sunday, October 7th from 2 – 3 PM at our sister church, Faith Community United Methodist Church on Rt. 9 in Bayville just south of the old dinosaur and the ShopRite shopping center. Rain or Shine. Any and all animals are welcomed to be blessed!
